East Palmyra FD acquires Amkus Rescue Equipment

Jerome Fire Equipment welcomes Chief Neil Gates and the East Palmyra Fire Dept. to the Amkus Rescue Systems family. East Palmyra is the most recent FD of the Wayne County area to have acquired Amkus Rescue Tools (Port Gibson FD and Marbletown FD are a few others in the area who recently acquired Amkus equipment – our sincere thanks to them as well!). As seen in the photo of the hands on training facilitated by Tony McIntyre of Jerome Fire, East Palmyra is prepared to employ their new AMK-22 Cutter and AMK-30 CRT Spreader. Congratulations to Chief Gates and the East Palmyra Fire Dept.

Griffis International Airport of Oneida County switches to MSA!

Our congratulations to Chad Lawrence and the firefighters of the Griffis International Airport for choosing the advantages of the MSA M7 SCBA over any other SCBA design.

In addition to classroom training on the new MSA SCBA’s, Jerome Fire representative Dan Izzo also assisted with hands on live fire training at the Airport as shown in the pictures.

It is also worth noting that the Griffis Airport firefighters have been equipped with 16 sets of new Globe G-Xtreme turnout gear as well as 16 new Cairns 1044 Helmets. Our thanks to the Griffis Airport for the opportunity to provide the highest quality “head to toe” Personal Protective Equipment for the safety of its firefighters.

MSA SCBA’s!

Our congratulations and appreciation to Chief Kim Crast and the Lacona Fire Dept. for their recent acquisition of new MSA Firehawk SCBA’s.  Lacona’s new SCBA’s include MSA’s Integrated Rescue Belt which allows Lacona FD to comply with the NYS Rope Law.  Chief Crast and the firefighters of Lacona FD are pleased to employ the latest technology in SCBA design and we are thankful for the opportunity to equip them to protect the Lacona and surrounding communities.

Jerome Fire and Cicero FD provide Amkus Vehicle Extrication Training at Old Forge Fire School 2010

Our sincere thanks to Chief Dave Pangaro and fellow members of the Cicero Fire Dept for their assistance in providing a Vehicle Extrication Training Demonstration at the 2010 Old Forge Fire School. Many of the Fire School attendees were able to pick up a number of useful training concepts presented by Tony McIntyre of Jerome Fire with the assistance of Chief Pangaro and his crew – a valuable concerted effort in the interest of Firefighter education, and public safety.

Croghan Fire Dept. Gets Into Globe
Chief Pete Monnat and the Croghan Fire Dept. recently evaluated the many features and benefits of Globe GXCel turnout gear and made the switch from a competitive brand. In addition to the 10 sets of Globe gear, Croghan also switched to the benefits of Cairns Helmets and completed the head to toe purchase with hoods, gloves, boots, and gear bags. We are pleased to have assisted Croghan FD in better equipping their Firefighters and we thank them for the opportunity.
