Fire Dept. TIC Evaluations Result in a Clear Choice - MSA

East Palmyra FD acquires Amkus Rescue Equipment

Jerome Fire Equipment welcomes Chief Neil Gates and the East Palmyra Fire Dept. to the Amkus Rescue Systems family. East Palmyra is the most recent FD of the Wayne County area to have acquired Amkus Rescue Tools (Port Gibson FD and Marbletown FD are a few others in the area who recently acquired Amkus equipment – our sincere thanks to them as well!). As seen in the photo of the hands on training facilitated by Tony McIntyre of Jerome Fire, East Palmyra is prepared to employ their new AMK-22 Cutter and AMK-30 CRT Spreader. Congratulations to Chief Gates and the East Palmyra Fire Dept.


 

Griffis International Airport of Oneida County switches to
MSA!

Our congratulations to Chad Lawrence and the firefighters of the Griffis International Airport for choosing the advantages of the MSA M7 SCBA over any other SCBA design.

    

In addition to classroom training on the new MSA SCBA’s, Jerome Fire representative Dan Izzo also assisted with hands on live fire training at the Airport as shown in the pictures.


     

It is also worth noting that the Griffis Airport firefighters have been equipped with 16 sets of new Globe G-Xtreme turnout gear as well as 16 new Cairns 1044 Helmets. Our thanks to the Griffis Airport for the opportunity to provide the highest quality “head to toe” Personal Protective Equipment for the safety of its firefighters.

Lacona FD joins the growing number switching to
MSA SCBA’s!


 

Our congratulations and appreciation to Chief Kim Crast and the Lacona Fire Dept. for their recent acquisition of new MSA Firehawk SCBA’s.  Lacona’s new SCBA’s include MSA’s Integrated Rescue Belt which allows Lacona FD to comply with the NYS Rope Law.  Chief Crast and the firefighters of Lacona FD are pleased to employ the latest technology in SCBA design and we are thankful for the opportunity to equip them to protect the Lacona and surrounding communities.  

Jerome Fire and Cicero FD provide Amkus Vehicle Extrication Training at
Old Forge Fire School 2010

Our sincere thanks to Chief Dave Pangaro and fellow members of the Cicero Fire Dept for their assistance in providing a Vehicle Extrication Training Demonstration at the 2010 Old Forge Fire School. Many of the Fire School attendees were able to pick up a number of useful training concepts presented by Tony McIntyre of Jerome Fire with the assistance of Chief Pangaro and his crew – a valuable concerted effort in the interest of Firefighter education, and public safety.

Croghan Fire Dept. Gets Into Globe

Chief Pete Monnat and the Croghan Fire Dept. recently evaluated the many features and benefits of Globe GXCel turnout gear and made the switch from a competitive brand. In addition to the 10 sets of Globe gear, Croghan also switched to the benefits of Cairns Helmets and completed the head to toe purchase with hoods, gloves, boots, and gear bags. We are pleased to have assisted Croghan FD in better equipping their Firefighters and we thank them for the opportunity.

Cassville FD Takes Delivery of New Jerome Fire Light Rescue Truck.

Our thanks to Chief Mike Barkley and the Cassville Fire Dept. for the opportunity to build them a new 2011 F-450 Crew Cab 4x4 Light Rescue Truck.  The Ford Crew Cab includes custom configured center consoles in both front and rear, and Flamefighter SCBA seats were installed as well.  Complementing the 400 HP, 6.7 Liter Power Stroke Twin Turbo Diesel Chassis at 16,500 GVWR, the Tri Star 9’ Aluminum Rescue Body is well designed for maximum storage capacity with a front transverse compartment and spacious side and rear compartments - all with Amdor roll up doors.  The Truck is equipped with FRC LED scene lighting and a Code 3 LED NFPA warning light package.  The finishing touches included Amdor Lumabar underbody LED lighting, PPG Dell Fleet paint with 5 year warranty, and an NFPA lettering and striping package with rear chevron.  We are pleased to know of Cassville FD’s overall satisfaction with their new Light Rescue and again thank them for the opportunity to enhance their apparatus fleet.        

Mattydale Fire Dept. Chooses MSA

After a thorough evaluation of various TIC’s available to the Fire Service, Chief Mike Gunther and the Mattydale Fire Dept. have chosen the MSA Evolution 5600 TIC due to specific benefits of product features and ownership support.  We are confident that Mattydale FD will be very pleased with the performance of the MSA 5600 TIC and we are thankful for the opportunity to assist with the acquisition of this life saving equipment.   

Lorraine Fire Dept. Chose Globe Gear

After a number of years of wearing a different brand of gear, Chief Mark Shelmidine and the Lorraine Fire Dept. have confidently chosen Globe gear to protect their firefighters.  With the receipt of a FEMA Grant, Lorraine FD was able to purchase 16 sets of Globe GXcel!  We are certain Lorraine FD will be very satisfied to be wearing Globe gear and we are grateful of the opportunity to have assisted with the acquisition.          

Martinsburg Fire Dept. Receives New MSA TIC

May 2010

With the assistance of some community donations and with hard work from membership fund raising activity, the Martinsburg Fire Dept. was able to purchase their first Thermal Imaging Camera. Impressed with what they learned of the product itself and what they already knew of product support from John Christman of Jerome Fire, Chief Craig Forney and the Martinsburg Fire Dept. quickly determined that the MSA Evolution 5600 was the best choice.  The photo was taken following the In Service TIC Training.  Our thanks to Chief Forney and the Martinsburg Fire Dept. for the opportunity to be a part of the effort to protect the Martinsburg community.

   

 

City of Fulton Fire Dept. and Granby Ctr. Fire Dept Protect Firefighters While Complying with NYS Rope Law

Both the City of Fulton Fire Dept. and the Granby Center Fire Dept. recently acquired RIT Rescue Belts as a means to provide their interior firefighters with an emergency egress system.  The purchase of these systems also positions both Dept.’s as compliant with the “New York State Rope Law”.  We are grateful to both Chief Tony Gorea and Chief Shane Laws for the opportunity to assist them with this life saving equipment.

Parish FD Chooses Globe Turnout Gear and MSA TIC

With the assistance of a FEMA Grant, the Parish Fire Dept. was able to purchase 28 sets of Globe GXCel turnout gear.  Also, Parish FD recently evaluated the features and benefits of competing TIC’s and determined that the MSA 5800 was the best choice.  Our thanks to Chief

East Syracuse Fire Dept. Acquires More MSA Equipment

A thorough evaluation of TIC’s on the market resulted in the acquisition of two new MSA 5200HD2 TIC’s for the East Syracuse Fire Dept.  Chief Mike Cramer and the East Syracuse FD determined that the MSA TIC offered all the best features for the tasks at hand.  Our appreciation to Chief Cramer and the East Syracuse FD for their ongoing confidence in MSA and Jerome Fire.

Preble Fire Dept. Picks MSA

Minoa Fire Dept. Agrees That MSA TIC’s Offer Best Performance

Fabius Fire District Adds More MSA SCBA’s to Existing Fleet

Memphis FD Upgrades Quarter Turn MSA SCBA’s

With the advantage of a MSA Customer Loyalty Program, Chief Dave Evans and the Memphis FD were able to economically upgrade their 14 Quarter Turn MSA SCBA’s to the newer technology of the Firehawk second stage regulator.  This upgrade provides Memphis FD with a quicker and more effective SCBA system.  Our thanks to Chief Dave Evans and the Memphis Fire Dept.

Waterloo Fire Dept. trusts Jerome for the “Big Stuff”

Over the course of 2009/2010, Chief Mike Reese and the membership of the Waterloo Fire Dept. have placed their trust in the hands of Jerome Fire for some substantial fire equipment acquisitions.  Their purchases include over 25 sets of Globe GXtreme Jackets and Integrated Harness pants, 12 new MSA Firehawk SCBA’s, and a MSA Evolution Series 5600 Thermal Imaging Camera.  Jerome Fire is honored and thankful to have been a part of providing the Waterloo Fire Dept. with all of this life saving equipment.

Solvay Fire Dept. Relies on Globe

Throughout the 2009/2010 time frame, under the leadership of Chief Pete Woodworth, the Solvay Fire Dept. has acquired over 25 sets of Globe GXtreme turnout gear with confidence in the durability (keeping gear in service) and complete satisfaction in the ergonomic design (gear that moves with them, not against them).  Our thanks to Chief Pete Woodworth and the Solvay Fire Dept. for the opportunity to provide the gear that protects the firefighters of Solvay.
